The Camp

Built by hand, in the middle of a eucalyptus forest.

No concrete blocks, no lobby, no room service. Mowgli Camp is terraced into a hillside above Mannavanur — wooden decks for the tents, graffiti-painted A-frames, prayer flags strung between the trees, and a common hut where everyone ends up sitting around the fire by 7 pm.

What exactly is included in ₹800 per head?

Your stay for the night (tent or hut with bedding), the evening bonfire, hot dinner, morning tea and breakfast, plus access to the common hut, hammocks and washrooms. Parking is free.

Is it safe for couples and families?

Yes. Couples and families are welcome, and we keep group sizes small. A valid government ID is mandatory for every guest at check-in.

How cold does it get at night?

Mannavanur sits at roughly 6,500 ft, so nights typically drop to single digits in winter. We provide blankets, but carry a warm jacket, socks and a beanie.

Are washrooms available?

Yes — clean western toilets with running water, mirrors and wash basins, shared between guests.

Can I reach the camp by car or bike?

Yes. The road is good till Mannavanur; the final stretch to camp is a mud track that most cars can handle in dry weather. In heavy rain we recommend parking below and walking up — call us and we'll guide you.

Is alcohol allowed?

Please message us on WhatsApp before you travel — we'll tell you the current camp policy. Loud music is switched off by 11 PM out of respect for the forest and other guests.

What about mobile network and electricity?

Network is patchy — expect BSNL/Jio to work in spots. There is lighting and charging in the common areas, but treat it as a digital-detox weekend.
